I couldn’t have been more excited about my first autumn photo shoot of the season with Hazel, Mark and their two boys. As a family they love going out exploring in Sulham woods, then heading home for hot chocolates, cuddles and games. Sounds perfect!
As summer changes into autumn my focus on locations starts to shift from flower fields to foliage as trees turn bright red and gold. And Hazel suggested the perfect spot with a tree line of vivid orange and ruby red leaves and a huge oak tree perfect for swinging on. It’s a place they visited on an almost daily basis over lockdown which made the photo shoot that little bit more special.
Oh and the best bit… they came loaded with lots of the kids’ favourite things. I spent part of the session playing catch with Fraser as he chased me in his tiger hat. Then the game changed and we pretended to be pirates as he pulled out his new telescope from Hazel’s bag. Even Hugo brought his favourite soft toy, Bunny, which he gave a good go at shoving completely in his mouth. Impressive for someone so small!
But something really special to witness was Hugo taking some of his first steps whilst holding Mum and Dad’s hands. Check out his little face, he couldn’t have been more pleased with himself.
Oh and I had to include some outtakes from this photo shoot, let me know your favourite in the comments!
Beautiful autumn photos
Autumn Photo Shoot Outtakes
Although this is one of the outtakes it’s also one of my favourite photos from the session. And I love including a few of these in the final gallery. They never fail to make me giggle.
