Frequently Asked Questions

I’m here to deliver a kick-ass service from start to finish. If you have a question that you can’t find the answer to here, just drop me a line.

Where are you based?

I’m based in Reading, covering Berkshire and Hampshire. I’m happy to travel further afield for photoshoots but this might mean a small extra charge to cover travel costs and any accommodation I might need to book.

Where do your photoshoots take place?

My sessions take place on location either at your home or outdoors, or a combination of both. The ideal location is somewhere that means something to you as a family and is a safe, fun space for your children to run around in. Maybe a favourite park or playground, woodland walk or duck pond? I’m always up for trying new locations as long as there are no restrictions in place. Wilder’s Folly at sunset, anyone?

What should we wear?

Families come in all shapes, sizes and combinations and my Outfit Inspiration Guide was created to celebrate everyone. It’s packed full of tips and tricks to keep your outfits timeless and classic so that your photos won’t date too easily. I’ll send this out to you once your session is booked so that you have plenty of time to prepare.

What should we bring?
  • Water
  • Many, many wipes
  • An extra outfit for anyone under 3
  • Children’s favourite cuddly toy
What if it rains?

Good question. We live in the UK…it rains a lot. Specialising in outdoor family photography means I’m not put off by a bit of drizzle. An overcast day is actually my favourite time to shoot. The beautiful, soft light of a cloudy day is often more flattering than a bright sunny one but if we decide on the day the weather is really a no-go, then we’ll reschedule at your convenience.

What if we have to cancel?

If you need to cancel due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, please let me know as soon as possible and we’ll reschedule your session. I’d much rather wait until everyone is on top form so we can have the best shoot possible.

When can we see our photos?

The million pound question! I aim to post some preview shots on my Facebook page (if you’ve given me permission to do so, of course) within a week. Your secure online gallery will then go live within 2 weeks of your session taking place. If you need your photos sooner, let me know when booking and I’ll try to speed things up a bit for you.

How does my online gallery work?

I’ll email you login details to your personal online gallery where you’ll be able to view around 30 to 40 carefully selected and hand-edited photos. You’ll then have 7 days to share the login details with friends and family, select your favourite photos and order prints from my amazing professional photo lab.

Are you able to retouch images?

Of course! I’m happy to remove blemishes, scratches or stray biscuit crumbs but the unique details (things like beauty spots and freckles) I’ll always keep.

Who has copyright to the images?

I retain copyright to all my photographs. However, if you want to print the photos for personal use or to give to family and friends then you can purchase individual photos or the full set of digital print-ready files on a mobile app. Take a look at my packages to see what is included.

Will you use my photos for marketing?

I’d love to use your beautiful photos to showcase my work to other families but I’ll never share your photos without prior consent from you.

How do we book?

Simple! Either:

Once payment has been received and contract signed, we can get your date booked in.
