Model Photoshoot at the Randolph Hotel in Oxford

Berkshire

I recently had an amazing experience of doing a model photoshoot at the Randolph Hotel in Oxford. A local Reading photographer and friend Richard Parkes dropped me a message saying he was working with the very talented model Hannah and would I like to join him. Of course I bloody did!

First off, let me just say that this was totally different from your typical family photography gig. It was a chance to work with a professional model who knew how to pose at every click of the camera, and it was so much fun to see her in action. As a family photographer, I’m used to running around after kids and dogs, so being part of a shoot like this was definitely a new and exciting experience for me!

What really made the experience unique was the fact that we got to play around with lots of outfit changes. Hannah rocked up with a suitcase full of clothes, tulle skirts, coats, accessories, and everything in between. It was a chance to get creative with different looks and styles, and we definitely took advantage of it! The staff at the Randolph hotel could not have been more helpful showing us around the grand ballroom, drawing room and snug. There were so many beautiful rooms to pick from.

After the photoshoot, we all headed to Pho for some grub. It was everyones our first time at the Vietnamese restaurant, and the food was delicious! It was great to take a break and have some fun chatting with Hannah about her experiences in the industry. If you’ve been watching You on Netflix you may just spot her in episode 1 of season 4!

And let’s not forget about the street-style photos! Oxford is such a beautiful city, and the historic buildings and cobblestone streets provided the perfect backdrop for our photos. It was so much fun to work outside of my comfort zone and try something new. And I’m pretty chuffed with how all the photos came out!

I’m so glad I said yes to this model photoshoot at the Randolph Hotel. It was a chance to try something new and step outside of my comfort zone. I mean, who would have thought that a family photographer like me would create these kind of photos?! But it just goes to show that trying new things can be so rewarding. Plus, it was just a great time hanging out with a bunch of awesome people, and I can’t wait to do it again!

LET’S TALK

If you’ve enjoyed everything you’ve seen here (and I do hope you have!) then don’t be timid, drop me a line and book in your family photo shoot with me now. Right this second. No time like the present.
