Spring Maternity Photo Shoot Outdoors in Reading

Family Adventures, Maternity

An explosion of spring flowers, vibrant colours, and two excited parents to be. The perfect mix for a maternity photo shoot outdoors in some of the prettiest gardens in Reading. The timing of this session was planned around golden hour so we could take advantage of the low spring sunlight and a stunning sunset.

Embracing the Blooming Spring Gardens:

We started the photo shoot by walking through the gardens which led us to a large patch of cow parsley where mum decided to bare bump for a few photos amongst the delicate flowers. As the sun set, casting a warm glow across the gardens, the couple was surrounded by a sea of tall purple flowers. Against this pretty spring backdrop, mum’s baby bump took center stage as the couple messed around and giggled together.

A Hat from Mexico, a Turtle of Love:

Adding a touch of personality, mum brought along a gorgeous hat that she purchased during a trip to Mexico. This cool accessory added a stylish element to her outfits and now has me wanting to go to Mexico to buy one for myself! We also incorporated a knitted turtle, a special memento from the same trip where mum discovered she was pregnant. These meaningful additions infused the photo shoot with love, joy, and a touch of wanderlust.

Celebrating Love and Adventure:

This couples love story is a blend of shared adventures, laid-back living, and a deep love of board games. And while it might seem like a case of opposites attract (with dad at 6 foot 4 and mum at 5 foot 2!), they have similar energies and love spending time in each others company. Mum, an avid reader, and Dad, a passionate rugby fan, have built a life centered around travel, relaxation, and spending quality time together.

A Perfect Day in Their World:

Their perfect Saturday is a lazy morning in bed with freshly brewed coffee, followed by a walk outside, with a stop at a country pub for a pint (or two!). Returning home, they love firing up the barbecue, playing board games, listening to music, and enjoying a delicious dinner in their garden. Sounds pretty perfect to me!

P.S. If you love mums maternity dresses you can buy the sage green tea dress from ASOS and the orange ditsy midi dress from Miss Selfridge (just size up a few sizes to fit over bump).
